Business intelligence (BI) architecture is a framework that organizations use to support their business intelligence and analytics applications. It's the infrastructure that companies deploy to support all stages of the BI process.
BI architecture includes: 
1)Defining data collection streams
2)Information administration
3)All the technology that supports business intelligence
4)Technology standards and data management and analytics practices
5)Specific platforms and tools that will be deployed
BI architecture provides a blueprint for how an organization will go about its BI initiatives. It also makes suggestions for activities that would improve corporate performance. 
BI architects often have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technological degree
